Carrie Lester

Triathlon Coach

Cazz.jpg

Carrie is Coach Scott’s better half. She is Australian and moved to California with Scott after they met in 2012 training and racing for the same Triathlon team, Team TBB.

Carrie has been racing Professionally for over 10 years, and in that time has won 14 Iron Distance titles, placed Top 10 in the Ironman World Championships 3 times, and achieved numerous podium finishes over both 70.3 and full distance Triathlon races around the world.

Being active has always been a huge part of Carrie’s life. During her earlier school years, she played many sports, but running track was where she excelled. At the age of 19 Carrie turned her focus to study and chose to quit running track. She gained her Bachelors degree in Marketing and Business management, started working Full-time and during this time discovered triathlon.

Carrie loved the social aspect of the sport, as well as the endless number of challenges it provided. It was a means to keep fit, and in 2009 Carrie won her Age Group in both the Olympic and Long Course World Championships, which began her racing as a Professional Triathlete.

Having been both an Age Group and Professional Triathlete, Carrie understands the work/life/training balance as an Age Group athlete, and also what it takes to race Professional.

As such, she takes pride in working closely with her athletes to ensure they have a training program that suits their lifestyle.

She finds a lot of joy helping athletes find their way in Triathlon, as she believes it should never take over their life, it should enhance it.

Her Motto: Consistency and Balance = Success.
