Lou is from NYC, having lived there his whole life. He played College Football at a small state school in NJ, and still participated in Team Sports until he got started in Triathlon at the ripe old age of 45. He didn’t know how to swim and hadn’t ridden a bike in 25 years. After a couple of self coached years he decided to join KIS Performance  and has been a member of the KIS Team under Coach Sam Cardona, and then Coach Scott DeFillipis for the past 8 years. He has completed several IM and 70.3 events over that time, and qualified for the IM 70.3 World Championships 3 times.

He began his Coaching Career in 2021 and is looking forward to helping Athletes of all levels reach their goals in the coming years. Being an older Athlete,  he has both the experience and the patience needed to help newcomers transition into the sport.
